Week 3 17th - 23th February 2014

Hello class!

This week we have revised and used the vocabulary on descriptions referred to hair and eyes, and learnt some new vocabulary on descriptions for people, animals and things, as well as the order of adjectives in English. We have also revised the use of "there is / there are" and the quantifiers "some" and "any", and used it in affirmative, interrogative and negative sentences with specific vocabulary on the farm.

We have also learnt prepositions of place and vocabulary on the house, asked about the objects we have in our houses and stated their position in relation with other objects.

Students have been given a handout with expressions to be used in their work.

Week 1 3rd - 9th February 2014

Hello class!

This week we have learnt and practised the alphabet and its sounds in English, numbers up to 100 and played bingo to correct pronunciation mistakes and as a listening exercise. We have also learnt and practised how to build affirmative, negative and interrogative sentences using the verb to be an other main verbs in the present tense, as well as the adverbs of frequency and their usage within sentences. Alongside with the present tense, the present continuous tense has been introduced, and its usage compared with the usage of the present tense.

We have studied as well some vocabulary on the farm (verbs, nouns and adjectives) and used it in the classroom. For the next lessons learners are going to write a short story using the vocabulary and structures studied.

These are some links you may find useful to revise.
